Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, confirmation that you are 18 or older, authentication information, lesson answers, completion status, selected operating state, and activity timestamps. A local draft may also be stored in your browser so work is not lost if your connection drops.
Age eligibility
Self-service accounts are currently intended for people age 18 or older. NextUp does not knowingly invite children to create accounts. A learner under 18 should have a parent, guardian, school, or sponsoring organization contact us before any account is created or personal information is submitted.
How we use information
We use this information to provide your learning portal, save progress, support participants, secure accounts, understand program participation, and improve NextUp programs.
Who can access it
Your account is hosted through Supabase. Authorized NextUp administrators can review participant progress and answers to provide program support. We do not sell participant information.
Retention and your choices
We retain account and learning records while they are needed to operate the program and meet organizational obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us. Some records may be retained where required by law or legitimate nonprofit recordkeeping needs.
Security
We use account authentication, encrypted connections, and database access controls. No system is completely risk-free, so please use a unique password and never enter Social Security, banking, card, or tax identification numbers into lesson answers.
